SRI BALA
The melodious notes of nadaswara and Dolu heralding the advent and amidst the loud chanting of vedamantras Sri Mataji entered the shrine of the Divine Mother Kali at 06.30 A.M.
She promptly made the vow of obeisance (sankalpa) to dedicate herself heart and soul to the worship of the Mother during the Navaratri celebrations.
Mr & Mrs Bulli Venkata Raju who have been celebrating the occasion for several decades invoked the aid of Lord Vinayaka through ritualistic worship for the smooth run of the function. Under the guidance of Sri Mataji they performed the Punyahavachana, a ritual, propitiating presiding deities like Indra, Varuna and Brahma. The scholars who attended the function were honoured and their blessings were sought.
The lamp of incessant light was then kindled to mark the commencement of the celebration.
